Gale Databases

The contract for the Gale Discovering Collection runs from September 1, 2009 – August 31, 2010.  This is the last year of renewals and MOREnet is working on a new agreement with Gale.

All other Gale databases are on a one year contract from July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010 with 4 years of optional renewals.

All Gale online resources are renewed each year upon approval of the Missouri State Library and based upon availability of funds.

Access Policy

Gale is available to all MOREnet members with managed connections from MOREnet. Members may use MOREnet-affiliated IP addresses or other static IP addresses assigned to their organizations and on file at MOREnet.

Remote access by registered/authorized staff, students and patrons is permitted. Online resources are only available to users in your service area through authentication methods provided by the organization.

    Specialized reference tool that offers a vast collection of medical information to academic, medical and public libraries. Offers hundreds of health/medical journals, newsletters and thousands of pamphlets and hundreds of streaming videos from medical experts.     Specifically designed for secondary school students, this database provides age-appropriate and reliable content from magazines, newspapers and reference books to meet student’s curriculum needs. The majority of the content in the Collections is available in the Academic OneFile and/or General OneFile. The collections were designed to make it easier for individuals to find information on a particular subject instead of through one huge periodical file.

The collections listed below have some original content so they have been included in the MOREnet default profile. They are available to search and can be directly linked to with the following URLs.

The following collections contain no unique content and are not in the MOREnet default profile. All content in these collections is included in either Academic OneFile or General OneFile. These collections are also designed to make it easier to search a particular topic, and they are available for MOREnet members to use upon request.
