New Network Monitoring Tool Released Behind MyMOREnet
MOREnet is pleased to announce a new tool, called Palantir,
available to members to monitor the status of their connections. Palantir was
made available to all active MyMOREnet accounts on Wednesday, March 22. User
Administrators can use the Account Management function within MyMOREnet to
remove access to Palantir for any user accounts assigned to their organization.
Palantir allows members to:
- View reports from the internal network monitoring tool MOREnet uses
to monitor member networks
- View any current outages or problems the tool has detected with their
routers
- View some technical details about their routers' hardware and operation
- Use the Looking Glass interface to run pings and traceroutes from their
routers
- Designate an e-mail address to receive alerts about any detected
outages related to their connections
