EBSCOhost: Summer 2006 Enhancements

EBSCO Publishing will release the following enhancements to the EBSCOhost service on Wednesday morning, August 16th, 2006:

• Domain change (previously announced), changing all URLs and persistent links to the ebscohost.com domain.
• EBSCOhost will receive a new look to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
• Certain long limiter lists will include individual limiter checkboxes.
• Result List Clustering will be added to multiple interfaces.
• Visual Search will be added to the Student Research Center, KidSearch, and the Business Searching Interface.
• A separate button for AP Sources will be added to the Student Research Center.
• Many articles will include a "Find More Like This" feature.
• The Industry Standard Citation text from the Print/Email/Save Managers will be changed to Citation Format.
• Search screen footers will include a link to EBSCO's Support site across all interfaces.

A number of EBSCOadmin enhancements are already available, which include:

• Reports & Statistics have been enhanced to feature a dashboard of graphical and trends report choices.
• There is no longer a default selection of the first database in a profile, if the library administrator has all databases set to OFF.
• Two new Macromedia Flash tutorials have been added to EBSCOadmin: Multilingual Options and Branding.
• Library administrators can set Advanced Search as the default screen for the Student Research Center.
