MOREnetworking: Podcast Now Available on MOREnet Website

MOREnetworking: Podcast is now available on the MOREnet website. The podcast is part of a research project to establish and document best practices in podcasting and to create a resource for MOREnet members interested in using podcasting. The first episode is now available at http://www.more.net/about/podcast/.

The first episode of MOREnetworking: Podcast deals with podcasting itself, featuring segments on what a podcast is, what podcasting client software is available and where listeners can find podcasts to which they can subscribe. The episode also features an interview with Ben Colley, MOREnet’s director of Strategic Technologies, on MOREnet’s current research initiatives.

MOREnetworking: Podcast is a six-episode series to be released regularly in Autumn 2006. Some topics of future episodes include videoconferencing, MOREnet’s member services and programs, business issues and how MOREnet is dealing with major upcoming technology releases.

MOREnet (Missouri Research and Education Network) provides high-speed, reliable Internet access to the state’s public sector. A unit of the University of Missouri System, MOREnet serves Missouri’s K-12 schools, colleges and universities, public libraries, state government, teaching hospitals and clinics and other affiliates.
