C012: Deploying a Public Access Computer Management System

We will provide an overview of the deployment process for a public access computer (PAC) management system, starting from when Jefferson County Library managers identified a need for such a system, to reviewing product offerings, considering costs, deciding on a product, installing it, configuring it and going live. Participants will also receive screen shots showing how Librarica CASSIE system works. We will will cover potential pitfalls (both technical and policy/procedure related), and the presenter will answer questions about JCL's experiences using the CASSIE system.
