C038: Podcasting: Why and How to Get Faculty to Use This Pedagogical Tool

Presenter(s): Diane Richmond, SunGard Higher Education/Truman State University

Level: Intermediate

Track: Technology Support and Implementation

Podcasting has moved from "hot new buzzword" to an important pedagogical tool. After reviewing the 2007 Horizon Report, it seems clear that today's students are looking for more technology-infused options to meet their own individual learning styles. There are dozens of arguments why podcasting is an effective tool that faculty should be taking advantage of. But after the why is the HOW! This presentation aims to detail what hardware, software and steps are necessary to post an audio or video podcast.
