C000. Solving Critical Issues Wired and Wireless

C001. MOREnet Panel: Trends from Library Assessments

MOREnet staff will review trends noted from performing network assessments and remote vulnerability assessments for libraries. There will be an open discussion with panel members and the audience on how libraries can protect themselves from common mistakes and vulnerabilities.
C002. Preparing for a Disaster

Preparation is the most important step in recovering from disasters. Participants will learn how to create and implement an effective disaster recovery plan. The topics covered will include disaster team roles, recovery phases, disaster preparation and plan implementation.
C003. kinetic Service Disk Space Management Tools
Presenter: David Drum, MOREnet
Track: Technology Support and Implementation
Disk space management capabilities will be introduced in the kinetic service
in spring 2007. These capabilities will allow administrators to divide, control
and track disk usage across Web space and e-mail accounts. Organizations will
be able to ensure that they do not exceed the amount of disk space they signed
up for. kinetic service administrators should attend to learn
about the new capabilities, their impact on organizations and how they will
be introduced.
C004. Network Design Strategies

C006. MOREnet Has the Right Answers!

MOREnet has purchased a web-based resource to assist members in answering their IT questions. This resource will be available to all members and their users at no additional cost. The RightAnswers solution contains support information on applications used on a daily basis, as well as customized information from the technical staff at MOREnet. This session will provide a demonstration of the product and information on how to access it.

Every day hackers find new ways to exploit Windows servers and workstations. However, many of these attacks can be mitigated with easy-to-implement security strategies. We will cover the ways that you can harden your Windows computers against these attacks by showing you the security settings that you can set within Windows and why they work to stop the hackers from getting into your systems.
