Codec Naming Conventions for ILS/Gatekeeper Registration

Please use this information when naming your H.323 video equipment.

User Alias

• No more than 14 characters

• Use the school name with the last three (3) numbers of the IP address for that computer.

  Example: someschool198

• No Spaces

User Number (E.164)

• No more than 14 numbers

• Use the Zip Code where the Codec (or computer) is physically located at, plus the last two octets of the IP address.

  Example: 65201123456

Gatekeeper

Contact video@more.net for the IP address of a MOREnet-administered Gatekeeper.
