Don't miss this opportunity for your students to watch a celebration of history on Friday, May 16.

The St. Louis Science Center is celebrating the 45th anniversary of Apollo 11 - May 15-17, 2014. Highlighting this celebration is a guest appearance and presentation by famous NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz. We have been given the great privilege of live-streaming portions of Friday, May 16, so that you can take part in these historic events.

Apollo 11 - 45th Anniversary Commemoration Education and Outreach streamed event activities include:

  • 10:15 a.m. - Launch demonstration of historic scale model replicas of historic NASA and Russian manned space vehicles.
  • 10:30 a.m. - Apollo 11 launch reenactment from a scale working replica of the Saturn V Launch Complex.
  • 12:15 p.m. - Guest appearance and presentation by famous NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz.
