MOREnet provides security services and event response to and on behalf of its customers. The MOREnet Security Team is a Computer Security Incident Response Team dedicated to handling security event response for participating Missouri K-12 schools, colleges and universities, libraries, state government and teaching hospitals and clinics. MOREnet Security also provides security consulting, training and alerts to its customers.

 

MOREnet Security conducts monthly webinars <link to webinar pate here> on current security topics. These are free and open to members and non-members alike. Additionally, we conduct semi-annual Internet Safety events <link to besafe.more.net> to help students and adults learn how to stay safe while using the Internet.

All MOREnet members are automatically eligible for this service. Each organization is required to have a security contact and that contact is automatically subscribed to our security-1 listserver. You will get breaking security news information sent to your inbox on a periodic basis. The security contact will also be the person we reach out to in the event of a security incident on the organization network.

MOREnet security provides the abuse@ and security@ addresses for our members. External complaints can be directed to either of these addresses.

 

Report suspected abuse of MOREnet equipment or resources to MOREnet by calling (800) 509-6673, or by e-mail to security@more.net. During business hours, MORE.net Security Team members monitor this address. MOREnet will treat your report seriously and confidentially and inform you of progress.  For more information regarding this service access our Security Resources and Support.
