This webinar will focus on the initial planning of a 1:1 project in schools. A panel of current 1:1 technology coordinators will address planning issues that are vital for a successful program. Topics will include types of 1:1 programs, developing a rationale, research that needs to be done, and lessons learned. Future webinars will focus on budgets, wireless, device selection, device management, roll out and must have apps and projects.

What you need to know about Copyright law for classroom use

Are you breaking copyright and not realizing it? Do you use music or movie clips inside the classroom or in PowerPoint presentations before the whole organization? We have talked many times about the RIAA and MPAA sending notices of infringement for the illegal sharing of movies and music on the internet using peer-to-peer file sharing. I believe we all understand that portion of copyright law but what about the examples I mentioned above? In this session, we will cover the fair use aspects of copyright law and maybe answer some of those tough questions about using music in PowerPoint presentations. Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer so for a legal opinion of individual situations, you should consult a lawyer!
