Training Policies

Contracted Training

MOREnet (through University Procurement) contracts with various vendors to supply technical and end-user courses not provided by MOREnet trainers. Please contact MOREnet Training at (800) 509-6673 to schedule a class at your library or to request contracted training.

A fee is required for contracted training. REAL Program participants will be billed $112.50 per day/per person. The REAL Program will fund the remaining 50 percent of the fee for contracted training. Travel related expenses for library staff are the responsibility of the library.

In-service Training

The Missouri State Library is happy to announce that MOREnet training opportunities for Missouri public libraries has been expanded. MOREnet trainers will be available to come to your library to train on an appropriately selected topic listed in the MOREnet course descriptions. The training will be scheduled based on the availability of MOREnet trainers.

The REAL Program will cover the travel expenses of the MOREnet trainers. Attendee travel expenses will be the responsibility of the library.

The library must have at least eight persons registered for the class and have a computer lab capable of hosting a class. It is the library's responsibility to ensure attendees are registered with MOREnet. The attendees can be from any public library that participates in the REAL Program.
