Responding to Security or Misuse Problems

1. Report immediately to police all threats to persons or property. Telephone 911 or call your local Police Department.
2. Do not retaliate or respond to the apparent source of an abuse, such as an e-mail address. Do not use the "opt-out" or remove e-mail address at the end of any message as your reply may be exploited. See Instructions for reporting e-mail problems for instructions on how to report the incident.
3. Report suspected abuse of MOREnet equipment or resources to MOREnet by calling (800) 509-6673, or by e-mail to security@more.net. During business hours, MOREnet Security Team members monitor this address. MOREnet will treat your report seriously and confidentially and inform you of progress.
4. Network probes or scans of a computer are not necessarily illegal. Still, probes are often a prelude to an attack or a sign that the computer or network doing the probing is compromised or misused. Report any network scans to security@more.net. Include any relevant log files of the probe or scan attempts.
