When will the e-Conferencing service offered by MOREnet be discontinued?

The service end date is Jan. 1, 2008.

 

Why is MOREnet discontinuing the e-Conferencing service?

After nearly a year of market research and member discussions, MOREnet determined that demand and participation in this service is insufficient to support continuing the service.

 

Does MOREnet plan to replace Centra with another product for its e-Conferencing service?

No. However, MOREnet plans to continue delivering online training classes and Web seminars to members using another e-conferencing tool. More information on a new solution will be available soon.

 

What is the price to continue using the service until Jan. 1, 2008?

In order to provide members with the flexibility to identify and transition to a new solution, MOREnet has waived the FY08 e-Conferencing price for current subscribers for the period of July 1, 2007 to Jan. 1, 2008.

 

I would like to continue using Centra after Jan. 1, 2008; where can I purchase it?

Can I export my registered user account list from Centra?

Unfortunately, there is no export option. However, you can log in to Centra, go to Manage Users and set the page to show 500 users. Then copy and paste the customer information into another application (for example, Excel).

 

How long will my recordings be available for download from MOREnet's Centra servers?

Member recordings stored on the Centra servers will be available for download until Jan. 1, 2008. Members who wish to save recordings should plan to move files to a locally managed drive before that date.

 

How can I save my Centra recordings for later use?

Only recordings created with Centra 7.5 or later can be saved for later use. To save your recording, find the event you wish to save under Manage Events. Click Modify. Follow the download link on the playback page and save the .exe file to your computer. The recording can then be played back from your workstation. If you would like to save the file to a CD-ROM or external drive, you may, but the file must be saved to a workstation in order to be played back.

 

Will MOREnet provide support for Centra after Jan. 1, 2008?

MOREnet will discontinue technical support and training for Centra on Jan. 1, 2008.
