e-Conferencing: Service Options

Centra 7 is an Internet-based, e-Conferencing tool suite that allows people to communicate and create virtual learning and meeting environments over the Internet. Audio conferencing, live one-way video, collaborative conferencing and Web conferencing are all components of this e-Conferencing tool suite.

Annual Subscription

Each license includes access to Centra's Symposium, Conference and eMeeting components. Licenses are sold in packs of ten.

For each 10-pack of licenses, a maximum of ten participants can attend MOREnet e-Conferencing events simultaneously. To serve additional concurrent users, customer organizations must purchase an additional 10-pack. Note that licenses are not transferable to other entities outside the purchasing customer's organization. That is, only MOREnet customers who have purchased MOREnet's e-Conferencing service may originate events.

The number of licenses an organization purchases dictates the total number of participants who can attend e-Conferencing events for that organization at the same time. However, the number of licenses purchased does not restrict the number of user accounts an organization can create or the number of concurrent users performing administrative activities — setting up agendas, creating events, managing users, developing content, etc. For example, an organization with two 10-packs could have 20 users participating in a synchronous class at the same time 2 event managers and 2 content developers are working on setting up another event.

Customer organizations also receive an equal number of concurrent playback licenses that can be used for viewing previously recorded e-Conferencing events (each 10-pack of licenses includes 10 concurrent playback licenses). Viewers of a previously recorded event hosted on the MOREnet Centra server use playback licenses, not the licenses used for scheduling and attending live events. Playback recordings downloaded to the desktop for later viewing do not count toward any licenses.
