MOREnet Support Prerequisites
1 or 2 full 24-channel T1 lines / ISDN PRI lines configured to MOREnet standard
specifications (Ear and Mouth Feature Group B signaling). Full 24-channel T1 trunk
lines only, or ISDN PRI lines, AMI, Super Framing or B8ZS, Extended Super Framing.
Local help desk support for user problems.
User phone line and equipment issues are not supported by MOREnet.
Help through consultation is available for server-side phone service only.
Must be configured to communicate with MOREnet TACACS+ software for utilization
reporting and authentication handling.
Site contacts must contact MOREnet through Technical Support and must provide
a contact number for someone responsible for the site.
Cisco has announced the end-of-life for this product. If this product breaks
it will no longer be replaced by MOREnet. This product will be replaced by a 3640
router. See 3640 product sheet for more information.
Support Notes/Problems
Cisco has recently announced the end-of-life support for this product.
Modem support is available for MICA modems only. Due to the recent end-of-life
announcement, Microcom modems support on AS5200 will no longer be available.
There are known problems when configuring this access device with busy out
capability for less than full T1 lines with certain phone companies. MOREnet will
only support services configured on this full T1 capability only.
Determination and resolution of server-side connection issues only. User
problems are to be handled by the member.
Utilization reporting based on number of modems in use per time of day.
Reports for user identification and accounting are generated daily.
There is no guarantee of connectivity for individual users. MOREnet supports
only analog modem connections. 54K is the maximum theoretical connect speed with
no guarantee since it is subject to variables outside MOREnets control.
