Download & Install LeechFTP
Note: Support of users who install to a custom directory location or otherwise deviate from these instructions may be limited. MOREnet documentation is written to support installation and configuration using default directories and layouts as described below. MOREnet Technical Support strongly recommends you follow these directions carefully and accurately.
Download LeechFTP

Start your Internet connection normally, and open your Web browser.

Go to: http://stud.fh-heilbronn.de/~jdebis/leechftp/downloads.html

Click on one of the download site links

When the dialog box appears, click Save File.

In the Save as... dialog box, a Directory or Folders box opens.
Double-click My Computer, then double-click C:\.

Click the Create New Folder button.
-
When prompted for the New Folder name, type LeechFTP
-
Double-click LeechFTP.
-
Click Save. A transfer status box informs you of the download progress.
Expand and Install the File
After downloading the file, close all open Windows applications.
To expand the file:

Select Start > Run...
-
In the Run box type C:\leechftp\lftp13.zip then press ENTER.

Be sure Unzip to folder: says C:\leechftp\.

Click Unzip to extract the file. The resulting files will be expanded to the
directory C:\leechftp\.

When the files have been successfully extracted, select OK to install
the file.

Follow the instructions in the Install window.

Be sure the file is installed in the C:\leechftp\ folder.
Connect LeechFTP
LeechFTP, like other FTP programs, enables the user to send files from one location to another.

Open the program LeechFTP.
-
Go to the menu bar and click on File.
-
Scroll and click on Connect.

Enter the requested information, then click OK.
Download Files Using LeechFTP
There are several ways to download files:

Drag the file to be downloaded from the Remote Directory box into the
Local Directory box. The file will be downloaded automatically.

Right click on the file to be downloaded in the Remote Directory box
and select Download Selected.

Select a file (or files) in the Remote Directory box. Then select Download
files from the Remote menu.
Upload Files
There are several ways to upload files:

Drag the file to be uploaded from the Local Directory box into the Remote
Directory box. The file will be uploaded automatically.

Right click on the file to be uploaded in the Local Directory box and
select Upload Selected.

Select a file (or files) in the Local Directory box. Then select Upload
files from the Local menu.
Resume LeechFTP
LeechFTP is a resumable FTP Client. The program will automatically resume the download where it stopped when the connection failed.

To resume a download, Resume must be enabled. This is the default when
the program is loaded.

If the Enable/Disable Resuming icon has a red X, deselect the icon.
Note: This will enable the program to automatically reconnect and
resume operations. This can be especially useful for dial-up connections
that have a maximum
connection time.
Use Bookmarks
LeechFTP offers a bookmark feature similar to that found in Netscape. Instead of bookmarking frequently visited webpages, LeechFTP allows you to bookmark frequently visited FTP sites.
To create a bookmark:

Select File > Bookmarks or click the Bookmarks icon.

Select Edit > Add Bookmark.

Enter the Host name or URL, username and password (if necessary).

Click OK.
To connect using a bookmark:
-
Select File > Bookmarks or click the Bookmarks icon.

Double-click the bookmark desired.
