Virtual Servers

A virtual server, also known as a hosted, dedicated, or virtual private server, is a server stored in MOREnet’s cloud infrastructure that runs a copy of an operating system (Linux or Windows) removing the need for a local server on-site. Virtual servers can be easily managed from your organization or you can opt to use our Managed Server Service add-on to leave the maintenance, configuration, patching, and monitoring to us.

Save time and money – Save time and money by quickly spinning up new servers, increasing server utilization, and reducing hardware and maintenance costs. A virtual server costs up to one-third less than an equivalent local dedicated server reducing the costs for hardware upgrades, excess server capacity, and power needed to run and cool servers. With a managed virtual server, you can spend your time on more important matters as you no longer need to maintain your servers with patches, upgrades, and monitoring.

Reduce bandwidth spikes on your network – A virtual server keeps traffic off your internal network reducing your internet bandwidth traffic to help control bandwidth spikes. A perfect solution for web applications with high external traffic use like websites and 3rd party hosted applications such as Student Information Systems.
