Raspberry Pi in Your Classroom or Library

The Raspberry Pi is a small computer that can be used for a variety of projects and has been heralded as a great boon to education and media centers due to its flexibility, simplicity and affordability. Join this event and explore the Pi's ability to bring coding and programming into the classroom or library, while also providing truly customizable person computer. The Raspberry Pi also has the unique ability to allow users to develop skills in physical computing, such as engineering builds that incorporate wiring, lights and physical sensors. Attendees will work through the essentials of text programming with Python, block coding with an offline version of Scratch, and basic physical computing activities designed to build a familiarity and comfort with Raspberry Pi. No previous experience with programming or Raspberry Pi needed to participate in this event.
