This half-day, hands-on course teaches the basics of robotics and coding for lower elementary students. Multiple tools will be identified and demonstrated, and then participants will be given time to explore and create using different robots and coding resources. This interactive session is geared to help educators and librarians get age-specific coding activities into their classrooms. Participants will be engaged in projects that will showcase essential skills necessary for success in the coding environment: problem-solving, sequential thinking and collaboration.
