With support of National Science Foundation grants, nine Missouri universities and colleges formed a consortium in 1991 to gain access to Internet connectivity and support resources for their students, faculty and communities. Today, we partner with 59 higher education institutions to provide guidance, convene collaborations and help determine which solutions work best for their unique environment of academia. This focused partnership helps provide reliable broadband, wireless Internet and security resources in addition to management services and consortium discounts to help create the high-touch environment college student’s demand.
Missouri Higher Education Infomation Technology (MoHEIT)
As part of the MOREnet Consortium, higher education members are invited to the quarterly collaborative sessions of Missouri Higher Education Information Technology (MoHEIT) working group.
MoHEIT consists of CIOs and other decision makers from higher education institutions across the state featuring guest speakers and facilitating group discussion over a variety of topics such as challenges and opportunities, strategic direction, management of information technology systems, and technological aspects of products and services.
