If you were at the MOREnet Annual Conference, you probably saw Sphero’s newest robot, the RVR. It is an easy-to-use robot. More importantly, it has a four-pin Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) expansion port; the UART port is designed to work with most third-party hardware, such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, micro:bit and littleBits. The RVR can be used with the Sphero Edu app and their soon to be released RVR-specific app. The RVR has a color sensor, a light sensor, IR, a magnetometer, an accelerometer and a gyroscope.
Thanks to our partnership with Sphero, you can pre-order the RVR at a discount for a limited time. Sphero is also offering a significant discount on their Sphero Fundamentals - Self-Guided Course. See MyMOREnet for pricing and ordering details.
