MU Game Jam - April 17-19, 2020
- Published: Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020
We are proud to sponsor this year's MU Game Jam, the annual game building contest on the University of Missouri - Columbia campus this spring. Originally conceived as a project to boost recruitment, this is the Game Jam's fourth year. The project was good outreach and led to some graduate enrollment in Mizzou's School of Information Science and Learning Technologies. Joe Griffin, one of the event organizers, noted, "The MU Game Jams is a fun way to get started working in video game development, and start working with other people interested in the same thing."
Contestants will have 48 hours to build a game to specifications they receive at the contest kickoff on April 17 at 5 p.m. at the Reflector in Townsend Hall (611 Conley Ave. Columbia, MO). Entries will be judged and scored by judges with professional game development experience. College and high school teams are eligible to compete, with prizes for the best team in each group.
Registration is open, so don't miss this opportunity to network and learn new skills. Students can enter for free, and registration closes on April 16, 2020. Register now! For more information, email [email protected].
