- Published: Thursday, July 16, 2020
MOREnet is glad to partner with the University of Missouri Department of Electrical Engineering and the Mizzou Center for Cyber Education, Research and Infrastructure to be part of the team hosting Hacker Tracker, a virtual cybersecurity camp for students entering grades 9-12. The camp will be held Aug. 3 – 5, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day. Students will learn basic cybersecurity concepts, use industry tools and gain hands-on experience with cyber attacks and defenses.
The camp is organized and led by Dr. Prasad Calyam, an associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and co-instructed by Cyberinfrastructure Engineer Dr. Songjie Wang of CERI Center. The MOREnet Cybersecurity Operations Team will assist in the camp, sharing how the MOREnet team works and sharing what types of cases and activities that they provide to support members.
This is a great opportunity for high school students to explore cybersecurity and increase their interest in computer science. Students do not need previous cybersecurity or computing experience to enjoy and learn from the virtual camp.
