Registration is open for the Missouri High School Cybersecurity Challenge. The challenge is designed for teams of up to three high school students and, thanks to a partnership with DESE, is free to all Missouri high schools. Round one will be held Jan. 18-20 and is completely online. This first round is a capture-the-flag event and is a great way for students interested in cybersecurity to explore, research and learn. The top 10 teams from round one will move on to the finals on Feb. 22 at the MOREnet Technical Summit in Columbia.
Through a grant from the Department of Homeland Security CYBER.ORG has developed free curriculum and professional development for schools to teach all things cyber. These are great resources for grades 2-12 and include a full course on cybersecurity for grades 10-12.
