AI Foundations for Libraries (CS)

This course helps librarians and staff understand the basics of artificial intelligence and how to use it to support their patrons. In this session, participants will explore how AI tools can assist with research tasks such as finding credible sources and evaluating information, as well as creating career-ready resources like resumes, cover letters, and practice interview questions. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, you’ll discover practical ways to guide patrons in using AI safely, ethically, and effectively. By the end, you’ll have strategies to both save time in your own work and empower your community with essential AI literacy skills.
