We’re excited to kick off our Ask the Expert webinar series on Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. with Ramah Hawley. Since Jan. 28 is Data Privacy Day, we’re starting the series with a session geared toward anyone with an interest or responsibility in student data privacy. Our expert for this session is Ramah Hawley, the Director of The Education Cooperative’s Student Data Privacy Alliance (TEC SDPA).
As the Director of The Education Cooperative’s Student Data Privacy Alliance (TEC SDPA), Ramah plays a crucial role in securing and managing student data privacy agreements for school districts across 12 states, including Missouri. TEC SDPA has flourished into a prominent force in the education community, earning a reputation for its commitment to upholding the confidentiality and security of student information and ensuring that school districts have access to the resources and support needed to comply with data privacy laws effectively. TEC was established in 1968 and continues to fulfill its mission of developing and coordinating educational and organizational programs that empower member communities, their students and educators, while reducing districts’ operating costs.
