Because MOREnet is a member of the Internet2 community, K-12 members have access to the Internet2 Community Anchor Program (CAP) resources. Some of those resources include the Presidential Primary Sources project, a free, live interactive web series for students developed in partnership with the National Park Service and the National Archives and Records Administration, which begins on January 14.
Another way they support school leadership is providing resources to educators such as distance learning resources as well as educator professional development. Whether your district wants to learn about art from Smithsonian experts, dissect a bug virtually or connect with students across the globe, as a connected MOREnet member, those resources are at your fingertips!
For those with a MOREnet connection, the Internet2 CAP distance learning scholarship program gives K-12 teachers and school librarians a scholarship worth $200-400 for free, one-on-one distance learning programs for their classes through the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC), Recipients can choose from any of the over 2,000 professionally delivered programs offered from all over the world, all of which have been evaluated by educators.
