The new five-year cycle for the C2 budget has started and will run through funding year 2030. In June 2025, the FCC Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) announced C2 budget funding floors and multipliers for the next five-year cycle including funding year 2026 to funding year 2030.
For the funding year 2026-2030 cycle:
- The school multiplier is $201.57 per student.
- The library multiplier is $5.43 per square foot for all libraries.
- The funding floor is $30,175 for all schools and libraries.
Applicants will be required to validate their student counts or library square footage in the first year they apply for category two support during the funding year 2026-2030 cycle. Their category two budget will be set for the five-year period.
