All recent research on Artificial Intelligence use in education indicates that one of the best first steps for students and staff is Artificial Intelligence Literacy. Although similar to Digital and Information Literacy, AI Literacy encompasses the many unique qualities of these powerful tools. Not just how it is used, but it’s strengths and weaknesses, and some of the opportunities and challenges of working with these powerful tools.
To celebrate National AI Literacy Day, on March 28 we want to share some events you can participate in!
First, from 9-3 we are offering an in person, full day training on the Basics of Artificial Intelligence where we will explore getting started with Artificial Intelligence tools and techniques in a day full of hands on experiences
Next, from 3-4 we will be hosting our monthly series of online discussions about AI, Artificial News and Tools for Educators. This month’s discussions will be about AI and information literacy programs schools can use and implement for students and staff.
Finally, our friends at the Missouri School Board Association will be hosting an online celebration of AI literacy with a Virtual Celebration Across Missouri, on Zoom at 4pm. MSBA will be bringing in schools that have started implementing AI tools to share their experiences.
Join us one or all of these events!
