Welcome to the MOREnet Immersive Learning Lab

The MOREnet Immersive Learning Lab (The MILL) was created to provide an innovative, collaborative space for exploration and hands-on learning. The facility, located at MOREnet's offices in Columbia, is available for teams and individual training through classes, and we welcome field trips. If you can't make it to Columbia, the only other place to experience the MILL is MOREnet's Annual Conference.

STEAM programs are growing in schools and libraries with makerspaces being the most widely used component of most STEAM programs; however, with so many options and the budgetary commitment, we wanted to provide Missouri’s public sector entities with an opportunity to experience maker equipment so they can make informed decisions before making a commitment.

The MILL has a variety of equipment to accommodate virtually any STEM-related activity you can think of. Some of the equipment used in the MILL includes:

  • zSpace
  • HTC Vive
  • Google Expeditions
  • Alienware Area 51
  • Raspberry Pi
  • Lego Mindstorm
  • Cubelets
  • Giroptic 360 camera
  • Sphero

The MILL will provide you and your community an innovative, collaborative space for exploration and hands-on learning. Some of the classes offered in the MILL includes:

  • Creating Makers and Spaces
  • Little Bits and Makey Makey
  • Augmented/Virtual Reality
  • Prototyping and Design in Makerspaces
  • 3D Printing
  • Coding for Young Learners
