MOREnet is pleased to share the availability of two funding opportunities for K-12 schools, aimed improving the cybersecurity resilience of K-12 education communities.

Application due Aug. 20!  CYBER.ORG offers a biannual technology grant program to assist educators in bringing technology into the classroom. To be eligible, you must be a K-12 educator based in the U.S. or a U.S. territory, and you must submit a complete application.  Eligible educators may submit a request for any technology product or service that will support them in teaching cybersecurity to their students.

This grant is open to K-12 educators employed by a school or school district in the U.S. or a U.S. Territory and complete the application by the end of this week. The goal of the grant is to provide applicants with the technology that will have the greatest impact on students’ learning outcomes and that makes the most sense for their unique educational context.

In addition, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing $20 million in AWS promotional credits to K-12 school districts and state departments of education who are using or are interested in using AWS services. Grant awards will take into consideration the student population sizes that public school districts, state departments of education or regional educational service agencies serve, and the scope of the proposed AWS solution(s).

If you are awarded AWS Promotional Credit for no-cost usage of applicable AWS services, the AWS Promotional Credit will be valid for one year from the time AWS Promotional Credit is applied to the account or until the credit has been fully utilized.  To read more about this opportunity, or to find out if you qualify, please visit AWS Grant Program Information Page. Grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
