This week we will focus on some great resources that you should be looking at on a regular basis. If you don’t have an RSS reader you can often subscribe to updates that are delivered to your inbox. Most have social media sites (Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) as well.

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) – The FTC has tons of consumer tips and alerts that can help to keep you secure and aware of the current scams and frauds taking place. Recent articles have covered Social Security Scams, Secret Shopper and robocalls. There are lots of tips and resources to assist you if you fall victim or need to report an incident.
welivesecurity – Security Experts in various areas cover a wide variety of topics from social media to cyber crimes to the latest threats, vulnerabilities and scams.
Scamwarners.com – You can find detailed posting of the latest scams.
Krebs on Security – Brian Krebs is a renowned investigative reporter and journalist who focuses on Internet Security. His perspectives and insights are well respected by the InfoSec community.
us-cert.gov – The Department of Homeland Security operates this website. Here you can find the latest alerts, bulletins, tips and resources. A resource for knowing what the latest security patches are for a variety of products.
StopThinkConnect.org – Unbeatable resources for cyber awareness. The website is loaded with free resources such as posters, tip sheets, videos and graphics.
Common Sense Media – Another great resource for cyber awareness. This site contains reviews for what your kids watch, categorized by age. There are apps and games and tips. The site has 3 areas of research, for Parents, for Educators, and for Advocates.
