Artificial Intelligence in Schools

Artificial Intelligence (AI), which uses large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, has been consuming much of the news. Of course, as with any new technology, there is a learning curve. Here at MOREnet, we’ve always made it a priority to stay on top of trends to be able to equip our members with information about technology — how to use it, what it is and how it could improve your everyday routine, better engage your students or simplify tasks.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some resources I found useful — either to explain the technology or offer insight into how others are using the resources, as well as things to be cautious of. Code.org, a partner with Microsoft, has led the way when it comes to offering classes for students, teachers and other individuals who are interested in learning more about AI. They’ve offered some resources about AI that I have referenced often.

If you are using AI in your Missouri school, either in the classroom or for streamlining business operations, and are interested in sharing insight with your peers, please send us an email at info@more.net. We plan to have a track at the MOREnet Annual Conference and we’ll have a few opportunities for idea sharing happening this summer.
