The primary function of the MOREnet Council is “to direct and oversee planning and budgeting for the MOREnet infrastructure including the technical support required for the future growth and success of programs sponsored by Council members.” The diverse Council membership provides MOREnet management with perspectives and input from all member groups and other key stakeholders, and actively participates in all major decisions involving our shared resources and services. The Council operates as a collaborative forum constantly seeking opportunities for our education and library communities to improve life-long learning for Missourians.

The Council was created through a Memorandum of Understanding among the Secretary of State, Department of Higher Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the University of Missouri.

MOREnet Council meetings are open to the public. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Meeting locations and times will be announced two weeks before each meeting.
