In December of last year, we hosted a course presented by the Criminal Justice Institute’s Cyber Defense Initiative (CDI). The class filled quickly and there was a waiting list.

As our nation’s critical infrastructure grows more reliant on information technologies, it also becomes more exposed to cyber-attacks that can threaten critical infrastructure. The CDI has developed courses delivered at no cost to technical personnel working within our nation’s critical infrastructure. These courses utilize a blended learning approach that balances classroom lecture, hands-on laboratory exercises and supplemental material.

Join us June 20-23, 2023 for Cybersecurity First Responder (CFR)

CFR is designed to prepare first responders to act effectively and efficiently to counter any type of cyber-based attack against our nation’s internet, communications, and network-based infrastructure. A minimum of two years’ experience as a system/ network administrator or as a cybersecurity professional is a prerequisite for this hands-on course. CFR will define the steps of handling specific types of cyber-attacks, including incident assessment, detection and analysis for security incidents, and the containing, eradicating, and recovering process from a system or network-based incident.
